ACDS through its Division of Public Health, has launched an Emergency Donation Campaign in response to the severe landslides and floods currently affecting several regions in Sumatra, Indonesia. The disaster has caused significant damage to residential areas, displaced many families, and left affected communities in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.

Recent reports indicate that extreme weather conditions have triggered widespread flooding and landslides, disrupting daily life and limiting access to basic necessities such as food, clean water, shelter, and medical care. In light of this situation, ACDS is calling upon students, alumni, partners, and the wider community to come together in solidarity and provide support for those impacted.

This emergency donation initiative aims to help address immediate needs and contribute to relief and recovery efforts on the ground. As of 31 December, the total funds collected during the campaign period from 7 December to 31 December 2025 amount to IDR 975,500, reflecting the generosity and solidarity of donors who have supported this humanitarian effort. Funds collected will be directed toward supporting displaced families and assisting communities as they begin the process of recovery from this natural disaster.

In addition to material support, ACDS also extends its deepest sympathy and prayers to all individuals and families affected by the tragedy. The organization stands with the people of Sumatra during this difficult time and hopes that collective compassion and action can help ease their burden.
